Many women are not entirely happy with the shape and size of their breasts. Because cosmetic surgery is more available nowadays, in terms of numbers of clinics and the breast lift cost, many women turn to these surgeons in order to change the size of their breasts. There are three different options available and these three are very different. The first is to opt for a breast lift, the second is to opt for a breast augmentation and the last one is to try and do it yourself. A lot of confusion exists between breast lift and breast augmentation, which are not the same thing. Let’s take a look at the three options in greater details.
A breast lift is a surgical procedure that involves sculpting the existing breast tissue. Essentially, this is a breast lift without implants. Rather than using implants, an incision is made and the breast is pulled back upwards, thereby lifting it and making it look pert again. This solution is perfect for women who are happy with the size of their breasts, but who have noticed the signs of aging, such as sagging skin.
Breast augmentation uses implants. Here, a woman can indicate exactly what size of breasts she would like. It is often a breast lift with implants, because most surgeons will also ensure that any sagging skin is pulled back tight. However, in this case, the woman will not only have breasts that are more pert, but they will also be much larger.
Breast Lift without Surgery
Breast surgery is still a major procedure. Although it has become much safer over recent years, there are still many women who would prefer not to go under the knife. Any woman should take part in regular exercise to keep the muscles of the breast strong. If this is done regularly, the passage of time may not be stopped but it will certainly be slowed down. If the breasts have already started sagging, it is still possible to have a non surgical breast lift by doing strong exercises to those muscles. However, the results will not be as good as they would be with either a breast lift or breast augmentation.
Breast Lift Benefits and Drawbacks of Surgery
Although it would seem that surgery should always be the last resort option, there are some breast lift benefits. The biggest benefit is that it is the quickest way to see some real results in terms of having beautiful breasts. However, there are significant drawbacks as well. There are a number of breast lift side effects, including for many women the inability to still breastfeed. Another issue is that there is a chance of developing breast lift scars. Breast lift prices have become much more affordable over recent years, but the procedure is still not cheap and it usually has to be paid for out of your own pocket.
