Best Treatment for Excessive Sweating Problems

Excessive underarm sweating

Excessive sweating is a common disorder medically known as hyperhidrosis. Whilst sweating is a normal human bodily function and doesn’t impose much concern, hyperhidrosis is perceived as a very problematic condition with excessive sweating of the palms, feet soles, armpits and face causing difficulty related to the sufferer’s school, work and social activities.

Hyperhidrosis is an inherited condition, affecting both males and females who never get used to it, the emotional impact and sufferance caused by excessive sweating

prompting people into looking desperately for the best excessive sweating treatment. Whilst regular sweating is needed for thermal regulation of the body, sweating in excess is a deficiency where sweating exceeds the body’s need for regulating its temperature.

Excessive sweating treatment varies, from rather simple remedies for sweating to more drastic measures such as surgery against excessive sweating. In order to stop excessive sweating from affecting the patient’s life on multiple levels, doctors may recommend the following excessive sweating treatment: aluminum chloride hexahydrate. The aluminum salts contained in this remedy collect in the sweat ducts, blocking them, diminishing excessive sweating over time up to a point when no further excessive sweating cures are needed. This form of treatment has shown very satisfactory results in the case of patients suffering from excessive sweating in the underarms, but it is not as useful for those whose excessive sweating problem is focused on other areas of the body.

Other remedies for excessive sweating include iontophoresis. This is a painless procedure that is based on an electric current being driven through the skin by water and is performed during multiple sessions of two to three sessions per week. Some people wondering how to stop sweating in excess prefer using oral medications however a drug like glycopyrrolate is not great as an excessive sweating treatment since oral anticholinergic medications can often induce side effects such as blurred vision, insomnia and a dry mouth.

When it comes to excessive sweating, it has been proven that cures for this problem which are normally used as cosmetic treatments (anti-wrinkle treatments) also work to relieve this problematic condition, however the injections are painful, and are mostly used for treating excessive underarm sweating.

Excessive sweating surgery is clearly the last resort when it comes to dealing with this condition. Known as endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy (ETS), this procedure is explained by the surgical interruption of the sympathetic nerves that promote sweating. Since post-surgery complications may occur, things such as sweating in other parts of the body or lung and nerve problems, this procedure is rarely used.

I have been suffering with excessive underarm sweating my whole life, I have seen a handful of doctors and tried everything I can think of. I recently started using a product called 1-2Dry and it has been working really great. It absorbs all the sweat in these little comfortable pads that go under my clothes- which ensures no one can see it and I don’t get any embarrassing stains! Hope this might help others with my same problem!
