I can say that you have truely made a wonderful effort in a simple and lucid
language to highlight the role of various nutrients in keeping the heart healthy.
I would like to add another nutrient to this list and that is Acetyl Carnitine.
It increases the ATP level in cardiac muscle cells and also reduces the fatty acid
level in blood. It increases the elasticity of blood vessles and thus may reduce the
distolic blood Pressure. Thus,on one side ,it increases the contractile force of cardiac
muscle and on other side it reduces the afterload on the heart.

I really appreciate the efforts you have made for this article. Thanks for sharing your experiences regarding this trial. While the “bad” fats like saturated fats in red meat or cheese and trans fats in many processed foods are major players in the development of heart disease, some fats, especially the omega-3 fats, can save your heart. There are lots of different types of fiber. The fibers in vegetables and whole wheat are called insoluble fiber and they help keep you regular and lower colon cancer risk. The B vitamins, especially folate, lower heart disease risk by reducing levels of a compound called homocysteine in the blood.
